Emerging artist, Eitan Barokas, will be holding his first solo showing, “Yesterday: 30 Works from Eitan Barokas”, at 127 Greene Street in Soho, New York City. The opening reception will take place on January 18th, from 7-11 PM.
"Yesterday", showcases 30 of Eitan's pieces, some created as early as 2014,
and others as recent as December of 2017. This large body of work highlights Eitan's multi-disciplined approach in his Artistry and tells the tale of the journey that got him to this very opportunity today.
A relatively new face in the Art world, Eitan is no stranger to the Soho scene, where he first made his mark on the area as a street artist, selling his works on Prince Street in the Summer of 2016. This time, however, Eitan will be occupying a ~2000 square-foot space, enabling him to show a retrospective of his work (to date) and to expose himself and his artwork to New York City and the world.
His artistry weaves stories of abstraction in his paintings, emotion and connection through digital works, and genuine realities in his photography. Rather than just showing only one of his mediums in this first showing, Eitan is using this opportunity to position himself in the art world as a multi-disciplined artist-- showcasing the many messages he has to share with the world from under his artistic umbrella.
Born in 1995, Eitan is a 22 year-old Artist who only began creating just a few short years ago. A recent graduate of Emory University in May of 2017, Eitan majored in business as well as interdisciplinary studies, but was honing his craft and working towards his dreams in Art all throughout. As his end at Emory University came near, Eitan had to decide whether to take a full-time job in the workforce, or pursue his dreams of being the Artist of his generation. He chose the latter.
