There will be
an open class in yoga for women’s health in the evening of Friday – from 7pm til 9 pm . It will be an extra special, women’s practical yoga session!
All women welcome to attend (even if you are not attending the full day’s programme, for example if you are attending the yoga nidra foundation course and would like to arrive the evening before then you are welcome to attend this session).
Thursday – menstruality consciousness – conscious menstruation as a yoga practice
Friday – one day programme in yoga for fertility and healthy menstruation (CPD for teachers and open to all with an interest).
If you are a woman of any age, with any interest in promoting optimum vitality and deep nurture to support your well being at every dimension of being, then this is the evening session for you: experience a truly delicious and profoundly feminine approach to nourishing yoga for menstrual health, for menopausal health, and to support fertility, pregnancy and postnatal recovery; at every stage of life. There is deeply restorative yoga sleep (yoga nidra) and delicious, luscious movements and elegant gestures and gentle sound. There is beauty, grace and nurture. This session is deeply revitalising and nourishing at a profound level. This yoga for women is all about reconnecting with the deep blood wisdom of cycles throughout the whole of a woman’s life, from pre-menarche to post-menopause. The practice of women’s yoga enables us to access the inner guidance of our source wisdom so that we may more readily reside in wellbeing and peace with our experiences as women. It helps us feel grounded, energised, free and joyful!
As preparation for these workshops you are asked to read the introduction to Yoni Shakti – freely downloadable from http://www.yonishakti.co/resources

Women’s yoga retreat – Friday 11 March:
Yoga for fertility and healthy menstruation (CPD for teachers and open to all with an interest). This experiential workshop is open to all women and yoga teachers/yoga therapists/health care practitioners who are seeking to create positive menstrual health and to enhance fertility, whether for themselves personally, or for their students and clients. The day counts as continuing professional development (CPD) for teachers who have completed prior trainings with Uma, and can also count towards CPD points for general yoga teachers and teachers/therapists who have prior trainings in prenatal/postnatal yoga, yoga therapy or yoga for women’s health. Health care practitioners with an interest in yoga and women’s health are also welcome to attend, provided they have a living interest in and practice of yoga.
The intention of this day is to provide practical experience of rhythmic and restorative yoga postures (asana), gestures (mudra) breath (pranayama), energy locks (bandha) and heart-based meditations (yoga nidra) that promote healthy menstruation and optimise fertility. Therapeutic sequences of integrated yoga postures will be taught, and relevant case studies discussed. An overview of common menstrual and fertility challenges and opportunities will be discussed in relation to appropriate yoga therapeutic responses. By the end of the day, participants will have a thorough understanding of the key practical and theoretical yoga therapeutic range of responses that are helpful to support healthy menstruation and optimal fertility.
There will be plenty of opportunity for questions and discussions of specific issues relation to yoga and menstrual health. This means that if you have specific personal or professional interests relating to fertility and menstruation that you are invited to bring your questions and experiences to share with the group. The programme is open to responsive, intuitive attunements and adjustments to meet the specific needs of those attending
