There will be a Competitive Division ($50) and two Open Divisions ($40). The season will last for 4 weeks including the following Fridays: Nov. 10, Nov. 17, Dec. 1, and Dec. 8.
The races will occur in the evening at 5pm (Open Division, ages 10 and under), 6pm (Open Division, ages 10 and over), and 7pm (Competitive Division, ages 10 and over).
Each Division will last approximately 1 hour. (15 minute warm up; followed by about 25-30 minutes where the kids complete as many laps of the course). A new course will be set up each week. The courses may be anywhere from 200-600 yards long with at least 5 obstacles to be completed per lap. Obstacles we will use will include vertical walls, cargo net, balance beams, A-Frames, tires, sandbag carries, crawls, foam spear throw, and many other obstacles.
Each participant will receive a Grit League T-shirt; 4 races; and the ability to earn Grit Bands by completing weekly challenges. Participants in the competitive division will be scored (both on laps completed and time) and seasonal standings will be used to determine winners, with trophies being awarded at the end of the season.
