Winter Birds of the Galena Forest Talk

Join Alan Gubanich, former Vice President of the local Lahontan Audubon Society and longtime professor at UNR as he uses taxidermy mounts and photos to show you what birds you can possibly see during your winter hikes in the Galena Forest. The Galena Creek Visitor Center has a great collection of specimens

on loan from the Lahontan Audubon Society. Both beginner and experienced birders are invited to join us for a workshop on how to identify and look for these species. Bring your bird guides and binoculars if you have them.

A $5.00 donation is suggested for our community programs. For more information, please call (775) 849-4948 or email visitorcenter@thegreatbasininstitute.org.
