Wild Turkeys in New York: Past, Present & Future — Shawangunk Ridge Free Public Lecture Series

The Shawangunk Ridge Biodiversity Partnership (SRBP) presents Wild Turkeys in NY: Past, Present & Future with Mike Schiavone, NYSDEC Biologist.

Wild turkeys were once extirpated from NY, but were restored to the landscape and are a great conservation success story. After reaching historic highs, their

numbers have declined over the past decade. Come learn what DEC biologists are doing to track this popular game bird, including insights from research and how it influences management.

This lecture will take place at SUNY New Paltz Lecture Center, Room 102. For directions and campus maps, see www.newpaltz.edu/map. No parking permit is required at SUNY New Paltz if you park after 6:30 p.m.
