Ultra Running Unplugged

El Dorado Arts Council presents Such Great Heights--The Art of Endurance. Artwork that reflects the qualities of endurance sports that require tenacity, strength and bravery.

The exhibition will be held January 7, through March 1, 2016. In addition to artwork displayed, El Dorado Arts Council will feature

two very special limited engagements that will be free and open to the public.

First up - Saturday, January 16, 2016, El Dorado Arts Council will host Ultra Running Unplugged.

Participants will start with a community run, beginning and ending at the Fausel House Gallery, stay after for a Jack Russell beer and hear ultra running legend Ann Trason speak on training and racing. Ann Trason has won numerous ultra races, including winning the Western States 100-mile race fourteen times, and has set many course records. Ultra running superheroes
Bruce La Belle and Rick Simonsen, who will also speak on their running adventures, both completing the Western States Endurance race multiple times as well as other notable trail and road races.

Run begins at 3:30 pm
Ultra Running Unplugged begins at 5 pm.
