For the month of Feb, IxDAHK brings to you a special speaker from Tsinghua x-lab from Beijing. Tsinghua x-lab incubates 500 startups from Tsinghua University students and alumi community, x-lab teams to date has received investments totaling over 598 Million RMB.Tsinghua University

is one of the most prestigious schools in China comparable to Stanford.

Our speaker Wu Jiayu, Head of Tsinghua x-lab's United Design Center will speak about Tsinghua x-lab's incubation and accelerator initiatives; how the United Design Center is educating Tech Startups on Design Thinking and User Experience as well as share the lastest trends and opportunities in Beijing's vibrant Tech Startup scene.

If you're:

About Tsinghua x-lab:
Launched in April 2013, Tsinghua x-lab (http://www.x-lab.tsinghua.edu.cn/en/) is a university based innovation platform promoting creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship. Tsinghua x-lab pioneered interdisciplinary education and practices, experiential learning covering new grounds, and team collaboration.
As of Jan 2016, x-lab has reached out to over 13,000 people at Tsinghua and outside it attending seminars, competitions, workshops, salons, and other educational and practical events. x-lab currently supports over 740 projects in different stages of development by students, alumni, and faculty, with over 309 registered companies employing a total of over 5000 people. To date, x-lab teams received investments totaling in over 598 Million RMB. Tsinghua x-lab has been making a name for itself and was recognized within the first group of the Crowd Creativity Space by the Beijing Municipal Science & Technology Commission. It is the only university institute to be awarded this honor. x-lab was also recognized by the Zhongguancun Administrative Committee as the Zhongguancun Dream Lab.

About Wu Jiayu, PhD:
Wu Jiayu works as the head of United Design Center in Tsinghua x-lab, an educational entrepreneurial platform in Tsinghua University. She got her PhD degree at Industrial Design Department, the academy of Arts and Design, Tsinghua University with the focus on experience design in social interaction. She used to work in Volkswagen with the focus on service design. Now she focuses on the role of design in business development especially on entrepreneurs.
