Coming to the Queens Hall in April are one of the biggest and most successful bands of the 1980s, it’s T’Pau!
They’ll be performing huge hits like China In Your Hand, Heart and Soul and Valentine. Led by flame-haired
singer Carol Decker, they rode the crest of a wave, also enjoying a quadruple platinum number one hit with their debut album, Bridge Of Spies.
After a brief hiatus, they reformed in 1998 and have been in high demand ever since. On their new Songs and Stories tour fans can look forward to hearing all of their biggest hits – as well as the stories behind them.
The tour coincides with the publication of Carol Decker’s autobiography, which will be published in January 2016. The story lifts the lid on the highlights and hang-ups of life in one of Britain’s most successful bands.
After the show there will be a chance to meet Carol, where she will be signing copies of books and CDs.
Fans can look forward to hearing music from throughout T’Pau’s career, including songs from their 2015 album, Pleasure and Pain as well as performing stripped back and intimate versions of classics that have stood the test of time.
In Carol’s words “This is something completely new. The fans can look forward to hearing all of the classic hits. But we’ll also be telling them the stories behind the songs. It’s going to be an amazing tour.”
Tickets will be on sale for Span Arts Members from July 23rd and then for the general public from July 31st.
