As millions of us look forward to May’s royal wedding, Northern Radar and YO1 radio are coming together and using the day to put the spotlight on York’s thriving music scene – all while raising money for charity hosting the York leg of Musicians Against Homelessness’ Royal Bedding event, which will see
towns and cities across the country host gigs in a bid to raise cash for the homeless community. The music movement – which supports charity Crisis – created the initiative following calls from the leader of Windsor council earlier this year to clear rough sleepers of the town’s streets before Prince Harry marries fiancée Meghan Markle. So here in York we will be doing our bit with a full day of live music!
The exciting bill so far consists of Lost Trends, Pura Vida, The Receivers, Naked Six and our headliners Faux Pas! Some of the finest local talents with more names set to be added to the bill over the coming weeks.
Tickets are £7 in advance (£10 on the door) and are available from Earworm Records, the venue in person or online via See Tickets.
