Do you want to be heard? Are you passionate about human rights? Do you feel like it is time to reclaim your liberties back? Has the present state of our country rekindled the fiery activist in you? Do you think your words can make an impact? If you answered yes to even one of the above, The Human
Rights Slam is the space for you!
What do you think of when you think of human rights? Human rights mean different things to different people. Join us if you want YOUR voice to be heard through poetry, speeches, readings or even skits and songs. Come and share about what we believe is the defining movement of our times.
The Human Rights Open Mic brings to you an open for all discussion that gives everyone a chance to express their thoughts, opinions and attitudes towards human rights. Freedom of speech, the right to form association, the right to vote, the right to education and the list goes on- from this diverse milieu of rights, we want to know what YOU think about the rights you think you have, and about those that you think you are denied of. In other words help us find the human in human rights!
