Since forming in fall of 2015 TrailHeads has quickly carved out a name for themselves as a hard hitting funk force to be reckoned with.
With an unmistakable sound and a deep musical connection, TrailHeads is able to push their high energy and draw upon different musical backgrounds to weave in and out of genres and extended jam segments to new musical heights.
After a line-up change and a debut album "Gotta Do It Like This" they have been playing many music festivals and top music venues all over. TrailHeads has received critical acclaim as "one of Pittsburgh's best up and coming bands of 2016" by CBS Pittsburgh.
Since their formation in Philadelphia during the summer of 2015, Tektonic has crafted a unique style of instrumental fusion dubbed “East Coast Metallic Groove Shit.” Described recently as “if Tauk and Papadosio had a baby who then heard of Meshuggah,” each member of the band carries with them a vastly different listening background to make each song increasingly diverse from its predecessor. They released their first full length album, Partly Human, on October 6th, 2017 which showcases the interwoven synthesizers, instrumentation, attention to melody and intense energy that Tektonic has become known for. Over the last couple of years, the band has played numerous venues in the tri-state area including a residency at Bourbon & Branch, Silk City, Kung Fu Necktie, World Cafe Live, 1984, The Gateway, Underground Arts, & Hemlock Groove Festival. During that time, Tektonic has collaborated and shared the stage with artists that include Consider the Source, The Magic Beans, lespecial, Teddy Midnight, Luke & Jesse Miller, Mike Greenfield, Bent Knee, Mike Candela, and more
