Teatro Panico and the Panic Movement was created by Alejandro Jodorowsky, Fernando Arrabal, Roland Topor based on the writings of Antonin Artaud (The Theatre and Its Double). It was a reaction to surrealism becoming mainstream and focused on chaotic and surreal performance art. With the goal being to shock and to release destructive energies in search of peace and beauty.
