5 weeks of clasess
to get you into an amazing state after the Christmas break.
Over the 5 classes there will be guided sessions of mindfulness meditation, discussion and time for question and answers. Suitable for intermediate meditators, or those returning to the practice of mindfulness & meditation. Beginners are more than welcome to attend as well.
By week five we will be meditating for 40 minutes+
Mindfulness Meditation based on MBSR (Jon Kabat-Zinn):
Mindfulness practice helps us to see more clearly the patterns of the mind and teaches us to stay in the present moment, rather than reliving the past or pre-living the future.
Meditations for the 21st Century -Mantra & Metta Meditations:
The word mantra has two parts: man, which is the root of the Sanskrit word for mind; and tra, which is the root of the word instrument. A mantra is therefore an instrument of the mind, a powerful sound or vibration that you can use to enter a deep state of meditation.
Meditation techniques for busy people:
These are ways to minimize chronic unhealthy stress in our lives. They are simple, time-effective strategies to reduce tension and quick ways to relax and unwind which can be integrated into our everyday routine.
Understanding the science of meditation:
