well as benefits it has on the economy and environment. He’ll also share his process of connecting small holder spice farmers to high-value markets and the impact of product trace-ability on human rights. Plus, you’ll taste different spices from around the world, learning about their territory and its application in savory and/or sweet dishes.
About Ethan Frisch
Ethan Frisch is an entrepreneur and activist around issues of economic and social justice. A former pastry chef, he was the Co-Founder and Executive Chef of Guerrilla Ice Cream, a nonprofit politically-inspired ice cream cart. As a humanitarian aid worker, he worked with NGOs including the Aga Khan Foundation in Afghanistan and Doctors Without Borders on the Syrian/Jordanian border. He is the co-host of the Why Food? podcast on Heritage Radio Network, and has been an adjunct lecturer at the City College of New York and an instructor with the Experiment in International
Living's Leadership Institute. He holds a Bachelors Degree from the City University of New York, and a Masters Degree in Violence, Conflict and Development from the University of London's School of Oriental and African Studies.
