Sligo Live Festival and Hawk's Well Theatre, Sligo are delighted to co-produce an Irish/Canadian double bill in the Hawks Well on Friday 27th October. The show draws together Sligo/Dublin quartet, Old Hannah, and highly rated Toronto Bluegrass aces, The Slocan Ramblers.
Old Hannah is a group of family
and friends who, after years of informal collaboration, started writing and performing together in North Sligo around 2013. Since then they’ve released two EPs, toured extensively in Ireland, France, the UK and the US, and have just finished recording their debut album.
The Slocan Ramblers are Canada’s young bluegrass band to watch. Rooted in the tradition, fearlessly creative, and possessing a bold, dynamic sound, The Slocans (2015 Edmonton Folk Music Festival Emerging Artist Award recipients), have quickly become a leading light of Canada’s roots music scene, built on their reputation for energetic live shows, impeccable musicianship and their uncanny ability to convert anyone within earshot into a lifelong fan. #SligoLive #SL2017 #MusicCitySligo
