“Shindig for Sherrie” is a fundraising benefit for Sherrie Otto Cadd, a lifelong resident of Kenosha and Racine counties.
Sherrie, age 46, is a sign language interpreter, the mother of twins Kaitlynn and TJ(age 19), a friend to many and one who could make anyone laugh even on a bad day…
early June, Sherrie took a terrible fall down a stairwell, and sustained a traumatic brain injury. She was flight-for-life airlifted to Froedtert Hospital of Milwaukee where they performed an emergency craniotomy. A large portion of her skull was removed, to relieve the swelling of her brain from injury. Sherrie spent 10 days in a coma, and then another two months in intensive care at Froedtert. She spent another two weeks at Lincoln Convalescent Center in rehab before finally being allowed to return home. Sherrie is still receiving occupational, speech, and physical therapy and is currently home healing from the latest surgery to replace her missing skull piece. She has come a long way since the accident, but her road to recovery will be long and tiring.
To help offset medical expenses and other expenses since she stopped working in early June, we have organized a benefit which will take place on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at the Hiawatha Bar & Grill in Sturtevant, from 4-11pm. We are in need of donations(monetary, baskets/raffle items, food, gift certificates, etc.) Any help that you can offer would be greatly appreciated. We will have basket raffles, silent auction, live auction, 50/50 raffles, food and beverage specials, and live music.
We have set up an account at Community State Bank, where donations can be made directly, if you prefer, to The Shindig for Sherrie Fund. (EIN # 82-3674045)
We thank you for your time and hope you will consider joining us for what we hope will be a fantastic fundraising day of love and friendship! Hope to see you on Feb 3rd!
