Seaventures 2018 (Diving in Mabul, Kapalai, Sipadan)

Eating, sleeping and diving from a discontinued oil rig is an experience like no other! Immerse yourself in a dive-cation that will blow your mind in one of the best diving spots in the world!

At the Seaventures dive rig divers descend beneath the old steel structure to the bottom in 16 meters of water.

Pygmy seahorses are virtually guaranteed here, living among the gorgonian sea fans. Lionfish number in the dozens, including spotfin and zebra lionfish. Tassled scorpion fish are commonly found as well. Perhaps the highlight of the dive is an encounter with "Elvis", a three meter long moray eel that calls Seaventure his home.

Mabul offers divers an extraordinary array of dive sites and an astonishing diversity of marine life. With wall dives, gently sloping coral reefs, artificial reefs, world famous muck diving sites and even a wreck, Mabul has long been known as a macro diver's paradise and is indeed one of the richest single destinations for exotic small marine life anywhere in the world.

Kapalai consists of a small sloping reef approximately 15m deep which contains many strange and beautifully ugly critters. Below the shallow sloping reef is a sandy plateau, which is home to five small wreck and a resort chalet. Within the wrecks lie many unusual marine invertebrates including orangutan crabs, spider crabs, hyper-colored nudibranchs , and many different species of shrimps. Kapalai is an underwater photographers' paradise.

Lastly we have Sipadan, regularly voted into lists of top dive sites in the world. The Sipadan Barrier Reef is the largest Barrier Reef in S.E ASIA and also has the Worlds highest marine biodiversity! It offers wall dives with vertical drops to over 500m, cleaning stations that attract Manta Rays, Devil Rays and all kinds of sharks! Thousands of schooling fish and hidden away in the coral shallows are some of the world's best macro life such as Pygmy Seahorses, Flamboyant Cuttle Fish, Mandarin Fish and other marine life that is still to be identified.
