Brimfield Neighbors helping Brimfield Neighbors since 1979
The Brimfield Community Cupboard was initially established in 1979 when Sam and Hazel DeBartolo saw a need for grocery assistance in their community. Week after week for 34 years, Sam and Hazel volunteered their time to make sure that all Brimfield residents who needed groceries received them. Their grocery assistance mission continues today through the volunteer service of many Brimfield residents, along with the assistance of several churches, service organizations and businesses. The Cupboard is housed, rent and utility free, at the Faith United Methodist Church. TWO MEN AND A TRUCK/Akron donate their services to pick up groceries from the Akron Canton Food Bank and deliver them to the Cupboard each Tuesday. Staff is all volunteer. 100% of your donations are used to provide grocery, personal care, school supply and holiday assistance for Brimfield residents who have experienced unfortunate circumstances.
