The ballroom scene is coming to Sacramento!
Join us for a night of celebration, food, fun, and dance as we honor trans and queer communities of color, and the people who continue to fight every day for equality. Trans people of color experience some of the highest rates of exclusion, violence, and discrimination
across the country. The #RiseUpAsOne Unity Ball is a celebration of the resilience and strength of those communities, and a declaration that we must #RiseUpAsOne for the health and happiness of all individuals - regardless of race, sexual orientation, gender, religion, or background.
We will start the evening by honoring #RiseUpAsOne award recipients, trans activist Valerie Spencer and Sacramento activist Yeimi Lopez. After the presentations, the party kicks off with a ballroom voguing performance produced by the renowned Mother Devine Chanel, followed by DJ Lady Char and lots of dancing!
