Ragged Mountain Reservoir Tour and Trek

Do you know where your water comes from? Join UVA Sustainability for a tour of Ragged Mountain Reservoir, Charlottesville's primary clean water source, led by Brian Richter of the Nature Conservancy. Learn about the sustainable design of the reservoir and the impacts of Charlottesville's water demand

on local ecosystems. Afterwards, enjoy the beautiful landscape on a scenic hike of the natural area.

A free round-trip shuttle will leave from the UVA Chapel at 1:00pm & return by 5:00pm - email sydney.applegate@virginia.edu to reserve a spot. Limited parking is also available at the Reservoir. Please carpool or take the shuttle. You can coordinate carpool plans using the following spreadsheet: (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1NVEWn69i8G6PoTO8EnfoFIXB_HyN8n_5SnDfTNbLEN8/edit?usp=sharing)

This event is free and open to the public as part of UVA Earth Week 2018: People, Planet, Progress. See full schedule of events at sustainability.virginia.edu
