ASA team members will be hosting a public lottery on Sunday, April 8, 2018.
HOW DOES THE LOTTERY WORK?
At the end of Open Enrollment, Allegiance Team Members will review and verify all applications received. In accordance with California State Education Code 47605 (d) (2), a public random drawing shall
be used when admissions requests exceed the available space. ASA will hold a public random lottery to determine admission for all impacted grade levels.
We have set our lottery preferences in SchoolMint's fair and transparent, automated software system.
The lottery preferences, in accordance with our charter petition, are as follows:
Children of Staff and Founding Families are exempt from the lottery (not to exceed 10% of total enrollment)
Children in the El Rancho boundary will receive a 3:1 weight
Children in CVUSD boundary will receive a 2:1 weight
All other children will receive 1 ticket in the lottery.
The lottery will start at 2pm and we will run each grade, one by one.
At the conclusion of the public random lottery, all students who were not granted admission due to capacity shall have their name placed on a wait list according to their final placement in the lottery. This wait list will allow students the option of enrollment in the case of an opening during the current school year. In no circumstance will a wait list carry over to the following school year.
At the end of the lottery, you will be able to log into your SchoolMint account and check your child's status. You will also receive an email and/or text message with your child's placement in the lottery.
