A double header!
Julian Adams will be joing us for two sessions in October.
At 10:00, Julian will lead a hands-on workshop with Japanese Black Pines. These will be 2 year old trees, grown from seed by Julian from seed sourced in Japan and intended for bonsai. Trees will be wired and manipulated extensivley,
with an eye for creating a shohin or the foundation for a larger tree down the road. Mr. Adams says the session is appropriate for all skill levels.
Cost is $25, observers $10.
Afternoon session begins at the usual meeting time, 2:00PM and is Julian's comprehensive review of care and creation of pine bonsai. He calls it "Pines are Easy" and he does not mean the title to be ironic, he thinks pines can be far easier than many other speices-with the correct approach.
This is a three hour, intensive, info rich session, basd on a lifetime of growing pines-invaluable info for any skill levela.
This is the regular meeting, no cost to members our guests.
