Join yoga instructors Josh Schrei and Cigall Eacott for this two-week
yoga/adventure odyssey in the magnificent Indian province of Sikkim, a culturally Tibetan region perched at the base of the highest mountains in the world. The high Himalayas are simply awe-inspiring -- the source of the great rivers of Asia, abode of eternal snows, these majestic mountains dwarf all other peaks on the planet.
We will start our journey in the picturesque foothill town of Darjeeling, where will do a daily yoga practice and explore local villages and Buddhist monasteries, before beginning our journey into the high mountains.
Our 9-day trek will take us through blooming rhododendron forests, secluded Himalayan villages, turquoise lakes, to the 14,000' peak of Dzongri mountain and finally to the Goechala pass itself, where we will get once-in-a-lifetime views of Kanchenjunga, the third highest mountain on earth at a staggering height of 28,169 feet (8,586 m).
Although we are trekking in the high mountains, we will have all our luggage carried for us, all of our meals cooked for us by our guides, and will have time to do daily meditation and pranayama.
Please note that although this trip will contain yoga practice, it is geared towards hikers and outdoor adventure enthusiasts and the main part of the trip will be the trek. Participants should be in good hiking condition and comfortable hiking multiple miles per day at high altitude.
Join us for this once in a lifetime journey!
