Learn how to build resilience in your children! Children who have more resilience are less vulnerable to depression, anxiety disorders, substance use, and other mental health issues. They are able to better steer through serious
life challenges and find ways to bounce back and to thrive. The Nashua YMCA’s Kid Stop will be available to parents in need of care on a first come, first serve basis.
Participants will learn:
• Defining resilience, why it is important and how it impacts the way in which individuals cope with change and adversity.
• Traits associated with resilience including: empathy, persistence, and the Y’s core values of caring and responsibility.
• Practical ways to improve resilience in children.
Presenters include: Carolyn Morgan, Clinical Psychologist and Linda Haytayan, Yoga Instructor and Lacrosse Coach.
