If it snows, we will EITHER move to the club OR try again the following week. As long as the track isn't icy, we are a go.
I will look into the possibility of holding a make-up session on Saturday, January 30th at 9am.
All are welcome to join. This test gives me the 17 independent data points I need
to run my excel macro (I'M SO FAAAANCY YOUALREADYKNOW) and set your training paces.
This test will be HARD. I've been told that this test is harder than the race my clients train for. You need AT LEAST 72 hours of complete rest (no cross-training, no running or hiking of any sort) in order for the test to be valid. YOU ALSO NEED A GARMIN/POLAR/TOMTOM/GPS watch with a lap button. No a Vivofit/FitBit/JawboneUP won't work. If you do not have one or cannot afford one this is fine just let me know ahead of time and I can lend you one to get you through the test.
If you already own a Garmin/Polar/TomTom PLEAAAASE check your manual and learn how to use your lap button. If you ignore this request and send me mile splits after the race instead of the data I ask for, I will ignore any and all emails from you regarding your test. Calculating results for just one person takes me nearly an hour as it is; handing me mile splits or a cvs file triples the calculation time and I'm already overachieving here.
