On Saturday, April 21st from 10am-2pm, volunteers will be planting tree seedlings in 3-gallon pots at the Crane Pond State Game Area DNR Field Office. A total of 300 trees including flowering dogwood, white spruce, and burr oak will be planted to be cared for until they are large enough to plant in nearby
wildlife openings. Once planted in the openings, they will provide thermal cover and browse for the area's wildlife.
The trees will be provided by the National Wildlife Federations Trees for Wildlife program. Shovels and gloves will be available for all volunteers as well as water, lunch, and a free T-shirt! Please RSVP at the link to volunteer for tree planting at the Crane Pond SGA!
