Constance ARI will be joined by community artist Pip Jones in August for our inaugural Open Space public art project. Jones' work "Lowland Grassland" will see some of the region's native grass species return to the streets of Hobart. Spiny rushes, poas and tussocks will sprout across the CBD, giving
a glimpse of how Hobart appeared when it was managed by its traditional owners.

Lowland Grassland concludes with a community event where a portion of the exhibited plants will be distributed to the public. The remaining plants will be donated to the Tasmanian Aboriginal Centre to be used for revegetation works at piyura kitina (Risdon Cove).
Constance ARI is seeking donations for Open Space: Lowland Grassland to go towards purchasing plants for use in the project. To make a donation visit: https://www.gofundme.com/lowlandgrassland
