NIU Chi Sigs Spring 2016 Pi Class Recruitment

Mission Statement:

Chi Sigma Tau is the first Asian American interest fraternity to have been founded in the Midwest. We establish lifelong brotherhood, develop leadership skills, institute a mentor program for the younger members, promote Asian awareness by bringing a voice to the Asian American community

on campus, and work to expand our unique style of brotherhood to other campuses. Although we were founded as an Asian interest fraternity, Chi Sigma Tau is non-exclusive and openly welcomes potential members from all walks of life. We are an Asian Interest Fraternity by 'tradition' but not by 'definition'.

We the men of Chi Sigma Tau, in eternal brotherhood, pledge ourselves to the development of character within each member. We shall encourage and reward academic excellence, promote service in our communities, and educate ourselves and the community around us on issues regarding Asian American culture, history, and identity. By continued involvement in our fraternity, leadership is not only a trait acquired, it is a skill that is mastered, that each brother will carry with themselves far beyond their college years. Although we are an Asian Interest fraternity, it is the strong policy of Chi Sigma Tau to make all membership-related decisions without regard to age, race, or religion.

We are all liked minded people and strive to achieve the same goals: graduate, expand the fraternity, and develop
our leadership capabilities - in essence, to become better rounded men with honor, integrity and selflessness.
