www.neaca.com NEACA Gun Shows Under Fire Again!
By David Petronis, President ~ NEACA, Inc. ~ March 17, 2018

The liberals are on a role with their same old anti-gun rhetoric repackaged thru the mouths of children since
the horrible school shooting in Florida. Naturally, our heartfelt sentiment and prayers are always with the victims of
these terrible crimes and we do sympathize with all of those directly affected by this tragedy. But, please do remember this,
the shooting was the fault of the shooter, no one else. The firearm was the tool he chose at the time and not the fault of the NRA for trying to protect our Second Amendment rights from the anti-gun radicals who wish to strip those rights from our State and Federal Constitutions.

Not only did the firearm not simply jump up, as no inanimate object can, and begin shooting by itself but
this time it appears there were plenty of law enforcement errors that if performance was done differently this tragedy
may well have been prevented or at least been minimized. However, the old adage of “if seconds count the police
are only minutes away” seems too well apparent in this school shooting; general arrival time by authorities called upon for
protection is somewhat like three minutes. But carnage can occur well within those critical minutes, hence a good guy (or
woman) with a good gun could save all or most from that carnage. We need to harden schools … not make purchasing
and concealing guns harder.

The rhetoric and the marches, the rallies and petitions, are expected because we all know the anti’s will
never let a tragedy go to waste; get out there and protest and preach, “Ban the Guns!” Of course, banning guns is
never going to solve even one iota of the problem of shootings or in this case, school shootings. Some common-sense
discussions and thoughtful decisions may actually help but knee-jerk reactions and yelling in bull horns only worsens the
violence problems. Kids leaving school for protests may look good on college applications for community organizer careers
but does nothing for bettering education with simple tests in the three R’s. If the liberals and democrats don’t believe 18 to
21-year-old children can’t be entrusted with or are not smart enough to own a firearm, why would we all be listening and
learning about solving life’s difficult problems from ten to fifteen-year-old babes; and also allowing those same untrustworthy
young people to vote?

Voting is a much more critical factor in our society than being denied the right to own a gun; at least until
you are responsible enough … at say 22 years of age. How about we also change the voting age? And prohibit all
people from voting who can’t pass a citizenry test? And only those who know about all of our rights (Second Amendment),
about how our American Heritage was formed and even how our freedom is protected? Patriots … stand and be
counted! Don’t take the liberal BS anymore without doing some yelling yourself.

The libs are on a roll and gaining momentum … they are using unsuspecting children (who know everything)
to advance their cause … and they are winning! The very (not the kind of lib-tard liberal we know now) Liberal
State of Vermont has today in their Legislature the most restrictive gun owning ban proposals I have ever seen. The bill
goes beyond even the most restrictive of laws like our New York State Safe-Act; included is a 10-day waiting period! I hope you Vermonters are wide awake and converge on your Legislators and Montpelier.

The libs are winning because a Jewish Synagogue complained that we (NEACA) are, and were, selling
“semi-automatic guns” at the Riley Rink in Manchester Center, Vermont and have convinced the Board to ban our
gun shows there. It didn’t seem to matter that we are perfectly legal to do so and are “the model” gun show in New York.
We had three scheduled for this year, the next on April 28 & 29, plus July and October; that move after we have had at least five there over the past several years without any problems what-so-ever. NEACA Show Promotions will take this in stride and has already rebooked those dates elsewhere. Incidentally, there are plenty of other venues that call us and do want our NEACA Shows. But we are always seeking new places in villages, towns or cities throughout the Northeast to promote our shows and bring thousands of our followers to their location: call us or see our web at NEACA.com.

We have our next NEACA event at the Polish Community Center in Albany, New York on next weekend of
March 24 and 25; about 100 eight-foot tables. If you would like to join our NEACA Membership (New EastCoast Arms
Collectors Associates) and come to all of our roughly 25 shows a year FREE plus get in Friday evening, please see our
Member Page at NEACA.com. We have promoted this show for several years with great success and have a following of
about 1200 to1500 attendees plus our Membership. We would very much like to increase our membership, now numbering
over 1600 in the northeast so we can begin to rely on Member-oriented Gun Shows instead of trying to reach new and prior attendees thru ineffective advertising. Today’s world of communication is vastly different than just a few short years
ago. Computer generated news and cell phones are taking away the daily paper; and I do regret that reality because we
used to publish our own “Arms Collectors Journal” tabloid some time ago. I do miss it and I will miss the local news.
2 However, it is not all bad news …We are announcing today that we have a new Capital District Gun Show on April 14 & 15 at the Holiday Inn Express off Route 9 near the I-87 interchange just north of the Latham Circle. We believe this will be a great addition to our schedule and a great location to bring many more people to our shows. The show is not as large as we have been accustomed to producing but we think the location will make up for the size of about 80 tables. The Holiday Inn Express is a high-quality Hotel with great exposure to thousands of vehicles passing daily.

They are giving our NEACA Associates their best room rate; call for NEACA Gun Show. We are honored that they have extended their invitation to us for this first NEACA Show and we look forward to bringing other trade show events to their location. Don’t forget our Fishkill, NY Gun Show at the Ramada Inn on April 7 & 8, about 100 eight-foot tables and
with many new exhibitor inquiries for that show. This will be our ninth event there with others planned in the coming
months. We usually get a lot of attendees from Massachusetts, Connecticut and New Jersey because of the restrictions on shows in those states. We really do need new Memberships in NEACA so we can afford to promote new (and old) shows in areas that actually want us. Our policy is that if we are not wanted in an area we will not push to go there and that locale will lose the revenue we bring with our exhibitors and attendees. The businesses are the ones that lose … we simply find other locations. And the protests and negative Editorials and comments … please keep them up because they bring us new attendees. The more the libs yell “Ban the Guns” the more the real Patriots turn out and buy them!

We also have a petition by the anti-gun crowd to “Move our Show” from the Clinton, NY Arena on June 9 &
10 to “anywhere but here” even though the Arena really wants us there. Funny how a few boisterous folks always seem to
get their way even though the majority of the people simply don’t care or actually want us there. Why is that the norm now? The Kirkland Town Board voted four to one to have our show but are now radical because they didn’t agree with the few. Stand your ground and don’t back down! And thank you for doing the right thing! Our Gun Show in Franklin Center at the Howe, Rutland, Vermont was simply one great show two weekends ago. The snow kept some New Yorkers from coming over but snow was light around the show area. We had a great crowd, business was brisk and Vermont dealers and gun buyers were extremely happy. We shall return; perhaps as soon as the end of April; Manchester doesn’t want us! We had a Republican candidate, Keith Stern, at the Franklin Center Gun Show, who is going to Primary the current Vermont Republican Governor Phil Scott, and who also claims he is much more pro-gun than Governor Scott, so you definitely should be looking at him or at least calling the Governor’s office to see his position on these new proposals.
We are also scheduled to use the Vermont State Fairgrounds in Rutland on June 23 & 24 plus in August and September at their old ice rink which we are transforming into a very nice place to host our events. However, ladies and gentlemen, gun sellers and gun buyers, you had better take serious note as to what is happening in your State at the Legislative level. Get all of your friends and family out to register to vote and enlighten your politicians as to your anger about even thinking of these new gun banning proposals. See Vermont Gun Proposal for the horrid additions to another bill.

And of course, we still have our Memorial Day weekend Arms Fair at the Saratoga City Center on May 26 &
27 in Saratoga Springs, NY but which may well be the last after 34 years with 107 shows and no problems; go
figure! We need every prior exhibitor to be taking tables and new ones who wish to support us. Yes, we do know it is a
holiday weekend but you can play “beginning your summer vacation” on Monday! We want and need your entire support.
And we need new NEACA Members to come and sign up plus ALL of our current Members to SHOW UP! We need
a fantastic event to show the city and businesses what they will be missing … lots of people and money! Who knows …
they have changed their minds before … and our last Memorial Day show was great! Make this one FANTASTIC.
As you all must know by now, we are always working on something different and new … and just in the last
few hours we have confirmed two new shows and have negotiated another super fantastic summer event / gun show none of you exhibitors will want to miss.

Go to Bass Master 18 and view pictures of Waddington, NY where 36,000 people enjoyed last years event and where we have been invited to host our NEACA Gun Show this August 23, 24, 25 &26. Call us soon on this one; 200+ tables. There are a lot of new venues that keep contacting us at NEACA who say “bring it here,” and I and Cathy thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for those invitations and support. Your contacts and Second Amendment recognition make all of this stress worth the effort. One last little thing … my Cardiologist wants me to have a triple bypass as soon as possible … so you see I really do have a heart. Visit our site for all new show details.
