“Extraordinary” – Australian Rolling Stone Magazine, on Liam Ó Maonlaí
Trad fans, it doesn’t get much better than this: Liam Ó Maonlaí, one of Ireland’s most charismatic musicians, sharing a stage with legendary fiddle player Kevin Burke and virtuosic multi-instrumentalist Tim Edey. Just sit back and
watch the magic happen.
Described as one of Ireland’s best sean nós singers, Liam Ó Maonlaí has always remained faithful to his traditional roots despite global success with rock band Hothouse Flowers, while Kevin Burke’s fiddle playing has been at the forefront of traditional music for over 30 years. A member of trad supergroups The Bothy Band and Patrick Street, Burke’s distinctive fiddling fuses a Sligo style with a diverse range of musical influences.
Winner of BBC Radio 2’s Musician of the Year in 2012, Tim Edey is rated by many as one of the folk world's finest folk guitar and melodeon players. His infectious enthusiasm and musical versatility rounds out this dynamic trio blending tradition and virtuosity of the highest level.
