Who is this for?
This tour is planned as a nice sociable ride which is suitable for Beginner to Intermediate standard mountain bikers. This ride is part of the Swiss Cycling Guide National Mountain
Bike Day. The tour will be lead by a qualified Swiss Cycling Guide as part of the nationwide activities on the day. There will be a maximum of 8 places on the tour.
We will depart Zug Train station at 09:45am and ride a short distance to the funicular up Zugerberg which we will use to "gift" ourselves approximately 400m of altitude. At the top of the Funicular we will head south towards Wildspitz and do an undulating unpaved road traverse of Wildspitz enjoying views over the Aegeri lake and surrounding hillsides. mixture of paved and unpaved roads.
At Matt we will join the main road for a short time before following the western shore of Aegeri lake back towards Neuaegeri where we will take follow Lorzen river back to Baar.
If the weather is nice we will eat a packed lunch somewhere along the way. If it is not so nice we will find a restaurant en-route that can accommodate us.
