THIS EVENT HAS BEEN MOVED TO FRIDAY, JANUARY 13TH. COME HANG.
THE SKINNY: Stories. Craft Beer. Good Causes.
=====Join The Facebook Group Story(X): Austin Story Experiments to get regular updates!=====
**THEME & APPLY**: "Tell Me More: Unresolution": Six stories that
have not yet resolved, told on stage with an Inquisitor, a StoryX selected individual who will probe deeper into the story as it is told. With Special Guest Co-Host Kim Williams, Austin storytelling regular! Want to tell a story? Apply here: http://bit.ly/2hvWbTZ
*COST*: $0. Instead of charging for entry/beer, every single dollar exchanged that night should go to the folks at Texas Advocacy Project, recommended $5-$10. They provide free legal services statewide to victims of domestic and dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking. Dope mission. http://www.texasadvocacyproject.org/
**TIME: STORIES + AFTERPARY**: The event will start at 8pm. We recommend arriving by 7pm or so to claim a spot and grab some Adelbert's. Afterparty 10pm to midnight or whatever so we can be friends. We may have some beer left but BYOB for that, dig? We'll hit the bars after.
**FREE ADELBERTS BEER**: The rad folks at Adelbert's Brewery will be chillin' and are donating a pony keg of their, really, very special craft beer for the event in service of Texas Advocacy Project. So $0 for some of Austin's best craft brew. Went on their brewery tour recently and it was dope so I asked them to party. http://adelbertsbeer.com/
**ASL-ACCESSIBLE**: Gabrielle Deville and friends are donating their services to make the event ASL-accessible!
**PHOTOS**: Colin Budd is donating his photo skillz to capture the event: www.xbudd.com
**WANNA HELP**: Wanna help us set up? Drop by at 6pm and/or join our volunteer list here (http://bit.ly/2hbv802).
Adelbert's has the beer. We got the stories. You bring the you, a friend, the warm stuff, and if ya have the means, a few bucks to donate to TAP cause they're amazing.
WHAT IS STORYX
Story(X) is a new Austin-based, themed storytelling series where we run experiments on true story form, theme, speakers – or even the audience – to explore alternative pathways to vulnerability and provide a challenging, thoughtful experience each time. We aim to foster a diverse, positive community, so we like to partner with community groups, nonprofits, and small local businesses who care about human connection, curiosity, and positive action.
• We are committed to hosting events inclusive of people of all color and gender.
• We are committed to being positive members of the Holly community and expect guests and our backyard to be so as well! Remember, this is our home!
• Please park on the street and don't block driveways! There’s usually a good deal of parking on 3rd st west of pleasant valley, not a far walk at all.
• The event is technically all ages, but very adult content is expected.
