Join Chadwick Arboretum Horticulturists, Students and Staff for this educational, hands-on day of gardening! By the time you leave, you will learn invasive species and weed I.D., Learn about our Monarch Way Station and all you can do in your own community to support our local pollinators.

We will be removing invasive species, to prepare our Monarch Way Station for a large variety of native pollinator plants. We will also be cleaning up debris to keep our learning gardens beautiful for all to enjoy. Please come ready to learn and work hard. Wear close toed shoes, pants, bring gloves if you have them and any honeysuckle "poppers" to use. We will provide water, tools and free give always provided from Green Columbus, including free chipotle burrito cards, Jeni's ice cream and clif bars.
We are ending our day with a brief education on how to root hardwood and softwood cuttings. We will have an example of red twig dogwoods for volunteers to see and then we will show you how to properly plant them around our pond.
This event is located behind the Nationwide Ohio 4H Building in Chadwick Arboretum North. Parking is across the street from the Ohio 4H.
