Check out some of the trails less traveled that are nestled next to the giant, Piestewa Peak summit trail. These beauties are lovely gems, worthy of attention. We will be working up a sweat on this short, quick up climb of Mojave Trail 200.

Please be sure to allow yourself some extra time to park or to have to park at another lot and walk over. Or plan a carpool!

Trail name: Mojave Trail 200
Approximate distance: 2 mi
Difficulty level: moderate due to some steeper, rocky sections
Description of hike: This hike is a quick, beauty of a hike. We will start at the Mohave picnic areas and doing and out and back along this trail. There are some excellent rocky sections for littles (and adults) to stop, explore, and climb. This will likely be a slower paced hike with stops to play/climb.
How to get there: Take Glendale east from the 51. Follow Glendale to Squaw Peak Dr. Turn left onto Squaw Peak Dr and follow it into the park. Find the Mohave picnic/parking area on the south side about halfway into the park.
Where to park: Park in the Mojave picnic/parking area.
Where to meet: meet at the picnic ramadas.
Please remember to wear proper sun protection and comfortable hiking shoes. Bring plenty of water and snacks.
