Mission Magma for Microfinance
Anzac Day, Wednesday 25 April 2018
Join the ADC Microfinance team and supporters on Anzac Day for a fun volcano challenge in Auckland!
Auckland sits on a massive lava field with volcanoes sprouting up all over the city. In the tradition of phenomenal mountain climbing
Kiwis like Sir Ed (and to a lesser extend Frodo Baggins) we are going to race to climb as many as possible in an afternoon!
Mission Magma is a team fundraising challenge. Every $200 raised is enough to provide a loan to give a deserving entrepreneur the chance to lift themselves out of poverty.
Assemble a team, pick a dress-up theme and get involved!
The day will begin at 1.30pm at Albert Park and finish at 6pm at Cornwell Park for a BBQ and prize-giving.
Between those times - teams will be issued with a map of Auckland volcanoes with points allocated for each peak conquered based on height, accessibility and difficulty. Teams will strategise which peaks to go after and navigate their own way up the peaks to collect as many points as possible within the time available.
Driving between peaks is allowed to maximise volcano time but you can't drive up any of the hills! (decline the urge to drive up an incline!)
- Best dressed
- Most funds raised for ADC Microfinance
- Most points
- Most epic summit pic
