Mid-Winter Bald Eagle Survey

The New York State Deparment of Environmental Conservation helps coordinate a national survey of Bald Eagles during the mid-winter months. Because Bald Eagles are often found in the same habitats used by ducks and geese, we run this survey along with the New York State Waterfowl Count. Please contact

Bill Ostrander (browncreeper9@gmail.com) if you are interested in helping with this program this weekend.

No experience? No problem! We'll pair you with an experienced bird watcher who would love your company. This is a great opportunity to get out and see some of the birds that share our region during the winter months!
