Book signing, discussion with author, Morley Hall
Larry Hallet wasn’t much different than other boys trying to make something of their lives in England after the Second World War, except that he possessed more
than average drive and resourcefulness. Actions following the abrupt demise of his first romance force him to become a fugitive from naval justice, and his efforts to restore a hitherto unblemished reputation expose him to adventures and romances, leading into the corridors of power, and the hands of British Intelligence. Our story follows his progress to the age of twenty-one, when he arrives on the threshold of a career that will require every ounce of resourcefulness, guile and self discipline.
Born a few days after WWII broke out in Europe Morley lived near London throughout the blitz. He joined the Royal Navy at a tender age and following eleven years service spent a quarter of a century in the sailboat industry. Over the years he wrote articles for special interest magazines and became a respected advertisement copy writer, also designing and marketing his own patented products. An experienced sailor with a flair for boat design and seascape painting he now lives with his wife Barbara and their dog Basil in Texas. Tales from the Frog in Chambers is his first published book but as a young seventy five year old he intends to follow it with others in the not too distant future.
This event is free and open to the public.
