This show is a New Media Art Performance that will push the boundries of perception on media, culture, and technology.
On the bill will be a multi-media music performance from Thomas Maglietto, guitarist from Seattle band Lefthead.
Filmaker Linda Fenstermaker will screen "Inversion", a work based
around the female form in addressing issues of contemporary representation.
New Media Artist and Filmaker Nick Tobin will premeiring "Portals to Themselves" a new video on frontier vicissitudes.
Daniel Peterson, PHD candidate for DXARTS at the University of Washington, will be sharing a sound composition in ambsionic spatialization (3d surround sound).
Choregrapher and dancer Hannah Rae will perform "Periscope Specific", a telematic/cinematic artwork. This will touch on human elements of loneliness, significance, and the struggle for self-importance in the digital age.
Film director Bogdan Darev will be showing the 1st Act of his feature film "Harmonia." Inspired by the soundscapes of man's soul balancing on the edge of disharmony and ecstasy, the film follows a boy trespassing the shadow of his father.
And last but not least will be a rhythmic video and performance by Abe King. This will incorporate video loops composed into a large scale performance juxtaposing the banal and the sacred. It will also highlight voyeurism, narcissism, transparency, and the incessant exposure brought through media technology.
