On April 13th, come to Pro Cyclery and learn about maximizing the information from your power meter. Benjamin Sharp will be at Pro Cyclery conducting a group Functional Threshold Test and then explaining how to use the results to improve your performance on the bike. This session is for anyone training
with a power meter or wondering how a power meter can be a powerful tool for training.
Benjamin Sharp is an education specialist for Stages. He has spent his career working with world-class athletes and spent seven years working with athletes for USA Cycling. He helped guide riders to 13 World Championships and eight additional World Championship podiums. Sharp was involved in coaching the U.S. women's pursuit team, which took the silver medal at the London Olympic Games in 2012. He will teach you how to take the numbers from your power meter and use them to the best advantage.
The session will be held at Pro Cyclery at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 13th. To do the Functional Threshold Test you will need to bring your bicycle with power meter and computer and your trainer. Your power meter does not have to be a Stages Power Meter. You will be riding at your maximum effort for 20 minutes, so bring your towel, water and anything else you need.
If you DO NOT have a power meter but want to know how they work and how they can help you, please plan to attend the session. You won’t be doing the actual test, but you can see how and why having a power meter is advantageous.
