The psychedelic images of Australian artist Martin Sharp defined the exuberant spirit of the late 1960s. Charismatic, paradoxical and eccentric, Sharp was at the epicentre of a cultural flowering, from Sydney’s Yellow House to Swinging London and underground Oz magazine. His now-iconic collages, posters,
cartoons, album covers and paintings reflect his penetrating eye and acerbic wit.
Sharp’s biographer Joyce Morgan sheds new light on his art and life. Her talk will be followed by a book signing and refreshments.
