March For Our Lives Long Island - Youth Town Hall
This youth-led forum, hosted at The Knox School and organized by March For Our Lives Long Island, aims to empower youth constituents in the political process by inviting candidates running for the first congressional district to meet with them and discuss
their commitments to comprehensive policy to end the epidemic of gun violence in schools and communities, if elected. Candidates for CD1 Kate Browning, Elaine DiMasi, Perry Gershon, Brendon Henry, and Vivian Viloria-Fischer will be in attendance to hear from, and answer questions of, attendees. We invite youth ages 10-23, parents, grandparents, educators, school administrators and community activists concerned about this pressing issue in our nation to join us. This town hall is organized in coordination with the Nationwide March For Our Lives Town Hall Project Action and in follow up to the March For Our Lives rallies on 3/24/28.
We will be joined by special guest speaker Paul Guttenberg, uncle of Jaime Guttenberg who tragically lost her life in the Parkland Florida shooting, who will be speaking at the event.
We will be holding on site voter registration.
This is an RSVP only event.
We also kindly ask that you please arrive with ID for entry.
If you are not a student, parent, or educator, please be sure to indicate which organization/grassroots group you are affiliated along with your name IN THE NAME FIELD (e.g - John Smith STUDENTS UNITED).
