The Lethbridge Fire Fighters will be hosting a Charity Hockey Tournament that runs from Jan 27-29, 2016, to raise money for the Bo Cooper Leukemia Treatment Fund. Bo is a fire fighter that works for the Fort McMurray Fire Department and is battling acute lymphoblastic leukemia for the third time. He
needs a life saving treatment that is only available in the United States and comes at a price tag of over $500,000. All money raised from events happening during this hockey tournament will be donated towards the fundraising effort to get Bo this treatment. You can visit his gofundme page, www.gofundme.com/bocooper, or his Facebook page, Bo Cooper Leukemia Treatment Fund, to see his story and donate. If you're not comfortable with credit cards and online donations then you can send a cheque to the Fort McMurray IAFF Local 2494 office and they will make sure the money goes towards the cause. Here's the address:

There will be a couple of social nights during the tournament with a silent auction and bands playing. Tickets will be available soon for those. There will also be a progressive 50/50 running throughout the tournament as well. We're still looking for 3 teams to play in the tournament. Please contact Riley.firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com if you're interested in putting a team into the tournament.
