This workshop is a movement study and practicum in devising compositional and physical renderings of sensation and idea into form and performing. We will use somatic tools from Body-Mind Centering ® which explore systems of the body and patterns of evolution and development, as well as improvisational approaches including Contact Improvisation and tunings using perceptual play, writing, drawing and the voice to create solos we will see, be in and be seen in. Each day will build from the day before. The middle day, Friday, will be a day of independent research to continue in class on the weekend.
