Kirstin Valdez Quade is the author of Night at the Fiestas, which received a “5 Under 35” award from the National Book Foundation and was a New York Times Notable Book. She is the recipient of the Rona Jaffe Foundation Writer’s

Award and the 2013 Narrative Prize. Her work has appeared in The New Yorker, The Best American Short Stories, The O. Henry Prize Stories, and elsewhere. She was a Wallace Stegner at Stanford University, where she also taught as a Jones Lecturer. She’s been on the faculty in the M.F.A. programs at University of Michigan and Warren Wilson. Beginning in 2016, she will be an assistant professor at Princeton University.

A native of Lawrence, Kansas, and a graduate of the Iowa Writers’ Workshop, Andrew Malan Milward is the author of the story collections The Agriculture Hall of Fame, which was awarded the Juniper Prize for Fiction by the University of Massachusetts, and I Was a Revolutionary (HarperCollins 2015). He has served as the McCreight Fiction Fellow at the University of Wisconsin, a Steinbeck Fellow at San Jose State University, and has received fellowships and awards from the Lannan Foundation, Jentel, and the Corporation of Yaddo. He lives in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, where he teaches at the University of Southern Mississippi’s Center for Writers and is editor-in-chief of Mississippi Review.

Clinnesha D. Sibley, a native of McComb, Mississippi, is a playwright-scholar who advances the social consciousness of all people through her writing, teaching, directing and arts endeavoring. Her award-winning plays include Thorns, a finalist play in the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Ten Minute Play Festival; Uprooted, a finalist play for the Kentucky Women Writers Conference National Playwriting Prize; and Gray (now titled, Naked), a finalist play in the Tennessee Williams/New Orleans Literary Festival One-Act Play Contest. Clinnesha’s plays have also appeared in numerous literary journals and publications including Black Masks Magazine which featured her play, Memory: A Tribute to Maya Angelou and Ruby Dee in their Spring 2014 issue. Her anthology, King Me: Three Plays Inspired by the Life and Legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was published by the University of Arkansas Press in 2013. In addition, Clinnesha has penned essays that empower playwrights, actors and directors through afrocentric processes.
