JP Forget is one of the foremost instructors of horsemanship and reining in the nation. He is an Equine Canada High Performance I Reining Coach and he is the recipient of the University of Texas at Austin NISOD Excellence Award for Instructional Achievement,
an award recognized throughout the North American community. He has qualified several horses to National and World Championships, as well as successfully coached several riders to intermediate and advanced levels at national and international competitions and championships. He will adapt the curriculum to each horse/rider team according to the degree of training and experience.
The clinic is individualized in order that participants can work on whatever they like within their group, including, but not limited to, barrels, reining, pleasure, ranch riding, extreme trail, cow horse (if there are cows available to work), and even ground training or colt starting. Each participant’s clinic experience will be tailored towards what they want work on or need help with.
Each participant will receive a 2 ½ hour lesson each of the 3 days, with a maximum of 3 riders per group. Each horse/rider combination will receive individualized attention within the group on specific goals and needs for that combination. At the end of the clinic, JP will review with each rider what the goals were, what has been worked on, the progress made, as well as discuss with each rider a riding/training plan to be worked through when they get riding at home.
