JANEFEST is an all-day celebration of the life and work of Jane Austen held at the University of Washington! It marks 200 years since her death in 1817. The event starts with the Festival, including expo-style informational booths and participatory activities, and culminates in a Regency Ball with live

REGENCY BALL: 7-10pm.

VIP: $30 (limited number, 21+: includes a glass of wine, souvenir ticket, pre-access to Ball and VIP Lounge, and the chance to talk with our expert Austen Ambassadors!)
At the festival, attendees will learn about various aspects of Austen’s life, times, and work, such as Regency cooking, clothing, letter-writing, and embroidery. Try your hand at Regency card games such as whist, and try your feet at Regency-style dances! Activities include trivia, a visit to UW Special Collections for a Rare Books Workshop, discussions of Austen’s fiction, dance workshops, a photo booth, fashion shows, and more!
