In this beautiful and important new film New Zealand Filmmakers Gaylene Barnes and Kathleen Gallagher travel the rivers of New Zealand to speak with river guardians, fishermen, farmers, artists, rafters, scientists, trampers – and explore the issues, challenges and opportunities facing both our rivers
and ourselves into the future.
Shot in stunning HD this film will concern and yet inspire, move and imbue hope in equal measure with complete relevance and parallels to our relationship with rivers and the land here in Ireland.
This is however much more than a film premiere for it is also an opportunity to meet those of like mind and start or continue the conversation over a cup of tea after the film about how we can protect, nourish and cherish what is truly vital and important in our communities now and into the future.
Admission is free, but donations are welcome to help pay for expenses and make a tribute payment to the filmmakers. The film is suitable for all ages, so all are welcome. And no need to book either. Simply turn up and enjoy the evening.
And Inishowen Rivers Trust have also kindly offered to host an inspiring short walk along the lovely Bredagh River starting from the hall at 5.00pm. What a great way to prepare to watch the film!
Please come and help make this an event to both celebrate and remember. And spread the word!
