On behalf of the Northwestern University Community for Human Rights, we would like to invite you to our 13th annual conference, Human Rights in Business: A Movement Towards Corporate Consciousness.
Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is one of today’s biggest buzzwords in the corporate world, but
businesses have persisted for centuries as one of the world’s greatest human rights threats. From illegal or cruel labor practices to environmental exploitation, businesses consistently take from peoples and their communities but are very rarely held accountable for their actions. In our age of communication and knowledge, most businesses are no longer lauded or successful for focusing solely on profits – a product of the growing demand for transparency.
Come join us!
