Hope for the Holidays
Spreading Hope for those that need it Most!
This year MVP Recovery is partnering with Bridge to Recovery Foundation to bring a little hope to those who need it! Both MVP Recovery and Bridge to Recovery share the value and belief that giving back and being of service can be fun and
family friendly! That is why this year we are hosting a Family Friendly event at Fellowship Hall in Media PA where we will be collecting and boxing items for the addicted and homeless to help get them through the winter. We will be collecting hats, coats, gloves, socks, undergarments, food items such as crackers, granola bars, pop tarts, bottles of water, or juice and of course Christmas cookies! Within each box of hope, we will write Christmas Cards, provide recovery resource material and inspirational messages. Of course, there will be fun for the whole family including a DJ, a visit from Santa, food, games, and more! All the items collected and boxed will be delivered the next day by a team of volunteers who are in recovery to SHOW that there is hope. We are also proud to announce that we will be offering professional resources and phone access to any who may want to start their path to a better life, or contact a family member.
On a personal note it is so important to me to create and keep events like this family friendly. To give back together as a family and teach our children about community and helping others is truly priceless. I’ve had the honor of telling my daughters “Girls, you can change the world” because there is action and belief behind those words and they can see it. So, this year during a difficult time for so many, lets empower each other to make a difference and to “Be the Change you wish to see in the World”
