DATES CONFIRMED: Friday, March 2 thru Monday March 5, 2018!
Because we're doing this in Ireland and I know everyone has so many things they want to do while there, I'm prioritizing to fewer events.
I envision the rough itinerary as something like this:
Friday night a corset crawl through the endless
glorious pubs in Temple Bar.
Saturday sometime I will personally take those of you who want to go on on a walking tour of Dublin--with the MacHalo on my head and a go-pro on the MacHalo so we can livestream it--and show you the locations in Dublin that inspired the locations in my Fever Series.
Sunday mid-morning you get your copies of HIGH VOLTAGE, I sign and we hang out.
Monday I'll do a Q&A.
I'll be getting in early and staying later than those dates. If there's enough interest, we'll do something on Thursday too. But count on a lot of drinking and partying in the Temple Bar District in our downtime! That's why we need a lot of downtime LOL. We won't be doing a night at Chester's. Every night will pretty much be that. I want us to have lots of flexibility to play and see what comes. We're rocking Jericho Barrons's town--it'll undoubtedly be epic! (I have so many ideas running through my head for this--I can't wait!)
HOTEL BLOCK: I did a great deal of checking into the possibility of booking a block, and decided that this trip/launch more than any other needs to be one each person can individually tailor. So many of us are adding other countries in, bringing family, etc and prices at hotels in Dublin can be steep and not quite so negotiable. I also know many of you are going through travel agents and securing flight/hotel packages, as well as others choosing airbnb's.
So, for this launch, there will be no hotel block. Stay where you wish and I'll turn my focus onto securing a venue where we can all meet up en masse before embarking on adventures together. Once I've booked my hotel, I'll let you all know where I'm staying if folks want to stay there. Otherwise --book your dream locations and get ready for the trip of a lifetime!!! It's terrific to see so much excitement out there. I'll be honest--getting to have you all celebrating with me in the city where Barrons, Mac, Dani, Ryodan and the crew have been living and breathing in my head for over a decade is the trip of a lifetime for me too.
HIGH VOLTAGE's release date is confirmed by my publisher for 3/6/2018.
Can't wait to party in Dublin with all of you!
Edited to add this about books and tix so it's all in one place:
The logistics of getting books over to Dublin is a challenge. The way it's going to work is this: I will open a virtual signing to only those attending the con in Dublin. Those who plan to be at my booksigning will have to ORDER and PAY for a copy of HIGH VOLTAGE in advance, by a concrete deadline TBA.
I will then pack up and ship all the books to Dublin.
You'll bring your receipt with you to the signing and I'll give you a book. That is the ONLY way you can get a copy of HIGH VOLTAGE at the signing.
I promise to make repeated announcements about this LONG before we open the virtual signing.
I'd remarked before that doing a launch in Dublin will be tricky in some ways, and it is. But with concise, clear communication, I know we can pull it off.
I'm about to vanish deep into the writing cave and I wanted you guys to have as much info as possible before I go. Please know I will give you any and all info I have as soon as I have it.
While I'm away, if you all see others asking questions I've already answered would you mind helping them out and letting them know what we know to date?
No tickets will be necessary for anything else in Dublin. We're going to have a terrific time!
And one last edit: Unfortunately due the way I have to get the books to Dublin, if you buy a book through the Virtual Signing and end up not going to Dublin, I can't give you a refund. I'm paying for all those books up front, in order to make this happen. I'm then paying to ship to Dublin and won't be shipping any back. The virtual signing won't happen until much later in the year, a few months before the event, so just be certain you're going to Dublin before you order one. This gets so complicated (which is why I've hesitated to try to do a launch overseas) that we simply must have some hard and fast guidelines.
